Perinatal Simulation Training for Critical Access Hospitals

This is a free training offered by Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative and Simulation in Motion-Nebraska. The training is funded by a grant from the NE DHHS’ Office of Rural Health.

 Location: St. Francis Memorial Hospital, West Point

Target Audience: ED and Perinatal Providers and Nurses of critical access hospitals

Learn about and practice decision-making and interventions for:
     Shoulder dystocia 
     Vaginal delivery-precipitous 
     PP Hemorrhage  
     Neonatal Resuscitation 
     Extreme prematurity 

Practice and refine skills:
     Positive Pressure Ventilation
     T-piece resuscitator
     Bag Mask Ventilation
     IO and IV insertion
     Nasogastric insertion UAC/UVC insertion

     7:30-8:00, Registration and pre survey 
     8:00-12:00, Didactic on seven 30 minute perinatal presentations
     12:00-1:00, Lunch
     1:00-3:00 Simulation and skills experience 
     3:00-3:30 Wrap up and post survey
